My previous mac laptop was purchased three years before this one, and 10.9 is likely it's last supported version, so I'd give this one about three years more of OS support.
In terms of OS support, you're probably looking at roughly 10.12 as being the last supported version on this machine.
I have the i7 version and have upgraded it to both 16GB RAM and an SSD + HDD optibay combo, and it's quite the fast + responsive machine. Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't the graphics cards issues only been primarily affecting the Early '11 MBPs? I have a higher-spec 15" of the model in question, and every time I heard about the GPU issue, it had to do with the early year models.īesides that and specific to the question, The Late '11s are still really good workhorses.
